The Punjab government has finalized the eligibility criteria for farmers seeking to apply under the Chief Minister Punjab Green Tractor Scheme Phase-III, aimed at promoting mechanization in the agriculture sector. This initiative is part of the provincial government’s ongoing efforts to modernize farming and enhance productivity.
Who Can Apply?
According to Director Agriculture (Extension) Chaudhary Khalid Mahmood, the following conditions must be met to qualify for the scheme:

Applicants must be residents of Punjab with a valid Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC).

Farmers must own five acres or more of verified agricultural land.

Farmers who have already received subsidized tractors under Phase-I, Phase-II (High Power), or the Wheat Incentive Program are ineligible.

Individuals who are defaulters under the Kisan Card facility cannot participate.
The Agriculture Department reserves the right to verify ownership and credentials through revenue records or field inspections to ensure transparency and fairness in the selection process.
Tractor Ownership and Restrictions
Tractors allotted under the scheme will remain registered in the applicant’s name for a minimum of three years, and reselling the tractor before this period is strictly prohibited.
Farmers selected through the digital balloting process must deposit Rs 500,000 as their share, along with applicable registration fees, card fees, transaction charges, and owner number plate fees, within the specified timeframe provided after the issuance of the allotment letter.
Tractor Models and Selection
Eligible applicants can choose tractors ranging from 50 to 65 horsepower. The scheme ensures that farmers receive modern and efficient machinery tailored to their agricultural needs.
Government Rights and Transparency
The government retains the right to withdraw subsidies at any time and reject applications if discrepancies are found during verification. The process emphasizes merit, transparency, and fairness, ensuring that the most deserving farmers benefit from the initiative.
