Punjab’s Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education have officially released the timetable for the 2026 Secondary School Certificate (SSC) annual examinations, providing clarity for students, parents, and schools across the province.
According to the announced schedule, Class 10 (SSC Part II) examinations will commence on March 27, 2026, while Class 9 (SSC Part I) examinations will begin on April 14, 2026. These dates apply to candidates appearing in the annual examinations under the composite examination system.
Education officials have confirmed that students who are appearing to improve their marks or reattempt failed subjects will sit for exams based on the same syllabus they previously studied. This ensures continuity and fairness for repeat and improvement candidates.
All Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) in Punjab follow a unified academic and examination calendar, meaning this schedule will be implemented uniformly across the province. The boards covered under this announcement include Lahore, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Multan, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Sahiwal, Bahawalpur, and Dera Ghazi Khan, among others.
The release of exam dates well in advance allows students to plan their preparation effectively and helps schools finalize revision schedules and practical assessments. Education authorities have advised candidates to stay in contact with their respective boards and institutions for roll number slips, detailed date sheets, and examination instructions as the exam period approaches.
